CG Glass opened office in Sweden in January and has already received customer orders for in excess of SEK 6 mill.  “The interest from Swedish customers has been overwhelming,” says Thomas Kozma, CEO of CG Glass Sweden AB.

The Scandinavian glass industry is in a period of great change and CG Glass has the ambition to take a lead in the development by increasing its activity outside Norway, and by focusing on new technology and smart glass.  The Swedish office has in this first phase addressed the demand from the project market and has won several, large contracts in the short time since opening business.  “With the changes we see in the Swedish customer segments, we believe that the project market is but the beginning for us in Sweden,” says CEO Eivind Brøvig in the CG Group

With this initiative, CG Glass is now active in all three Scandinavian countries.

CG Glass Vennesla has been granted exclusive rights to the production, distribution, marketing and sale of switchable glass from Dream Glass Group in Norway and Denmark.

“For the Norwegian glass industry, this is a milestone. Never before has complete glass with such functions been manufactured in Norway”, says Eivind Brøvig in CG Glass Vennesla.

DreamGlass® is a product that consists of an electrically connected film laminated between two glasses where you can adjust the transparency in the film. If the power is turned off, the glass is opaque and only lets in light. When the current is turned on, the polymer crystals become directional so that one can see through the glass. This opens up many new solutions in, for example, meeting or treatment rooms. CG Glass Vennesla has established its own production line for Dream Glass Group's products and will sell and distribute DreamGlass® to its regular customers.

- We have established our own production line in our lamination plant, we have efficient access to all raw materials, including film on roll, and can now produce high-quality smart glass with short delivery times. Dream Glass Group has a well-functioning service and support department that will be available to our competent production team. We aim to deliver switchable glasses also outside Norway and Denmark, and to be a production partner for Dream Glass Group in the rest of the Nordic region, says Brøvig.

In the past, quality was more than price an argument against choosing smart glass. However, Dream Glass Group has invested heavily in the development of its own technology over the last 10 years and continues to invest, and today has products that justify an investment in modern design and functionality.
